Actress will be hospital event celebrity guest
Actress Amanda Donohoe will be celebrity guest of honour at a Valentine's cabaret, dinner and dance at Hartismere Community Centre on February 10.
The star, who has appeared in many films, including Castaway and Paper Mask as well as television series Bad Girls and LA Law, has recently moved to the area and has committed herself to attending the fundraising event.
Dance organiser and Hartismere Development Group director Sue Ecclestone said: "Amanda said she wanted to integrate into the community. She wants to get involved and support our local community."
Hartismere Development Group is working in tandem with the Hartismere Hospital League of Friends to raise money to help save Hartismere Hospital, which has been earmarked for closure.
The dance includes a three-course dinner, at 7pm, followed by a Frank Sinatra tribute performer, and disco. Tickets cost 35 per person including dinner, or 10 for just the dance. For tickets call Sue Ecclestone, 01379 384076.
