I saw an unexplained object passing over Roydon recently.
The object was a very bright light, much brighter than any star.
It was not making any sound and not showing any navigation lights. It passed over Roydon four nights in a row, west to
east, at about 9.40pm on July 26, 27 and 28.
On the 29th at 10.15pm, on a slightly different track, the object, viewed through binoculars appeared to be oval and wobbling slightly like a jelly on a plate. A circular haze was also visible around the object.
R P Copeman,
Nicholls Way, RoydonI was at my friend's house in Harleston and four of us saw five orange/yellow lights in the sky, larger than stars and closer. The first four came from the north at a similar speed to an aircraft, but then stopped and hovered in the west, while another light of the same size and description joined them.
They then proceeded to fade and brighten in sequence, then travelled west as the lights faded away.
The final light then travelled south and eventually faded.
Do you know of any aircraft in that area around 10.45pm on Saturday July 27?
I have recorded it on my mobile phone, but it's not very clear and doesn't give a true indication of size and colour.
Kirsty Thomas, Milton KeynesMy theory about the recent sightings is that, after looking on Internet sites, it could have been a solar storm. This causes lights from above and it looked like a lit-up cloud, moving very fast, like a storm would.
When I saw the lights my first thought was a spotlight, then I thought of the Northern Lights. So I think this was a natural phenomenon.
