I think Harleston Town Council have maybe done their best, but this is not good enough (Residents' anger at council tax rise, March 20).
The council seem to have shown themselves to be incompetent and they should all resign immediately and an election held.

They then have the right to re-apply for their current positions.

This is a lot of money to find for some families and they
have to find it through no fault of their own.

Something to sing about!

District councillor Martin Wilby is quite right singing the praises of the roundabout at what was Pulham crossroads (New roundabout is warmly welcomed, Diss Express, March 20).

It is fantastic and all credit to county councillor Bev Spratt, who has worked hard at pushing the scheme into action at county council level.

In 2001 Tivetshall and Pulham Market Parish Councils worked jointly to again highlight this dangerous crossroads.

The then Tivetshall parish clerk, Claire Kirby, did a great job in compiling a report and comments from hauliers and bus companies as well as the general public which was presented to Norfolk County Council.

Over the years, many folk have brought the crossroads problem into focus and now the roundabout is there. Wonderful!

Fill a case with gifts for Easter

We are collecting Easter gifts for the Quidenham children's hospice.

We would love for people to pop their Easter gift into our suitcase which is going to be on display in the Diss branch of Co-operative Travel until April 8.

Making you smile

How wonderful it was to open last week's Diss Express to see so many happy, smiling faces.

It makes a nice change in view of all the doom and gloom we seem to read about elsewhere in the papers. Thank you!
