The trustees of Eye Playing Field express enormous thanks to the Community Crew.
These young people, under the direction of Karen and Jane, did the most fantastic job at the playing field during what must have been about the nastiest week of March, as far as the weather was concerned.

They have cleared the children's play area and tennis court, weeded the flower beds around the community centre, and have planted lots of bulbs, herbaceous plants and shrubs.

They have also built a willow shelter, put up a couple of seats, and painted the play equipment and fence.

They were ably assisted by Aiden and also Kevin, who supervised in the production of a fantastic graffiti mural.

We also thank Hillcrest Nurseries (Stanton), Clarkes of Walsham, Castleden Trees and the Handyman of Eye, for their generosity and support. Not forgetting county, district and town councils, Crime Concern and the police, without whose help none of this would have been possible.

Our congratulations go to all.

Penny McSheehy, Acting chairman
Eye Playing Field, c/o Church Street, Eye
