The anniversary of folk song collector Ralph Vaughan Williams' death is being celebrated in Tibenham next week.
On October 11, Tibenham Church is hosting an exhibition about the folk song collecting of Williams around south Norfolk villages in 1911.

A concert at 7.30pm will feature some of these songs.

Doors open at 6.30pm for refreshments and exhibition viewing.

Folk song enthusiast Howard Marshall, of Old Buckenham, together with Roly Brown, an expert in traditional music, have been delving into the archives to discover that Ralph Vaughan Williams collected an extensive list of folk songs from residents of Tibenham and other villages.

Tickets for the concert, in aid of the Audrey Perkins Organ Fund cost £7 (£5 concessions), including light refreshments.

For tickets call Jennie Hawks, 01379 677843, or jhawks@churchcottage.org.uk

Mr Marshall can be contacted, 01953 861480, or howiemars@aol.com
