The musical extravaganza, which has sold out in previous years, will feature a mix of established bands and new talent – including Yaxley brother and sister duo Sam and Daisy.

"We are really looking forward to it and playing with the other musicians' will just be a great experience," said Sam, 17,who is at Hartismere High Sixth Form and will be playing with his 16-year-old sister Daisy.

"We have been playing together for about a year and, along with our own stuff, we will perform a number of covers."

The duo, whose influences include Everything But The Girl and Counting Crows, have played numerous gigs including The Cock Inn, Diss and the Cherry Tree in Yaxley. Tomorrow they will perform an acoustic set and will be joined on stage by a harmonica player.

Other bands on stage will include rhythm and blues group Brett Marvin And The Thunderbolts, London-based trio Gourami and session guitar player Robbie Macintosh, who has played with Paul McCartney and has just finished a tour with Norah Jones.

Also on the bill will be the organiser of the night Denny Newman with his rhythm and blues group Denny Newman's Regulars featuring Max Middleton.

"It has become a really good Christmas event and we get people from all over coming to it," said Denny. "Last year we gave young Alex Hill the chance to perform and this year it is Sam and Daisy."

In the past, the event has attracted big names, including ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor and The Yardbirds.

During the night CDs by all performers will be on sale and a bar will be running.

The gig starts at 7.30pm and takes place in the Corn Hall. Tickets cost £12.50 and selling fast. They are available from the Railway Tavern in Mellis and Revolution Records in Diss. For more information call 01379 783416.
