Livewire Opera Company presents Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance at the Corn Hall, Diss, on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 7.30pm.
The swashbuckling yarn follows Frederic, indentured to kind-hearted pirates, who falls in love with the daughter of an inept major-general.
The story of love, duty and loyalty boasts some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s best-loved numbers, such as I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General.
To add a twist to the production, artistic director Susan Booth has auditioned children to play the part of the police in the plot.
Tickets are £8.50 for adults, concessions £7.50 and children £3.50, from Diss Tourist Information Centre or by calling 01953 851543.
