The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum, in Thorpe Abbotts, has been granted accreditation status by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA).
The aim of the accreditation scheme run by the MLA is to achieve agreed standards in museum management, user services, visitor facilities and management of collections.

Trustee and administration officer Sam Hurry said: "We believe the award is recognition that the museum is maintained and operated to a very high standard and will further enhance our reputation as one of the finest museums of its type in the country."
