With the third Latitude just a week away, the festival's promoters have announced a whole host of new additions to its line-up.
The
festival in Henham Park, Southwold, is famed for its family-friendly atmosphere and a bill which boasts as many stars from the worlds of theatre, comedy and literature, as it does from music.
Among the latest acts taking to the two musical arenas from July 17 to 20 are former Housemartins and
Beautiful South frontman
Paul Heaton, who will be playing songs from his debut solo album.
Another singer who is no stranger to the charts is
Beth Rowley, whose debut album has garnered a truckload of acclaim with its combination of pop, gospel and soul.
Those with a more leftfield taste in music will be serenaded by singer/ songwriter
Joanna Newsom, whose harp-backed tunes have endeared her to many and landed her second album full marks in both the national newspapers and music press.
One artist not to miss will be
Julian Cope, who has gained fame for both his music and for his books including The Modern Antiquarian.
Latitude is also throwing its spotlights on some of the best local talent including the famous –
Tom Baxter and Beth Orton – and the up and coming over at The Lake Stage, where
BBC Introducing will be presenting, among others, The
Kabeedies,
Bearsuit and
Cheeky Cheeky And The Nosebleeds.

The Diss Express will be at Latitude and will be featuring photos and a review in the paper and its website's Bandwidth section. This new section also wants to hear from any local bands who play original material and would be interested in appearing in the paper and website.
