A weekend of live music and a family fun will help bring this year's Harleston and Waveney Arts Festival to a memorable climax.
The music starts on Friday with a live mic night at The Swan Hotel from 8pm until late.

The hotel is hosting a Music Weekend and Beer Festival which runs from noon tomorrow and features a diverse range of local bands, including The Pilots, Outside
The Playhouse, The Vagabond, Morning Blue and the Rum Brothers, finishing with Mustard City Rockers. The Blind Lemon Soul Band will close the event with well-known covers to get the crowd dancing.

On Sunday, the music will continue starting with jazz from lunchtime onwards, Some O' That Jazz and Dave Thomas, followed by indie music by local acts including The Foster Kids, who will be airing tracks from their forthcoming new album, At Home With The Foo Fighters.

Popular band Huck will take to the stage in the evening.

On Bank Holiday Monday, there will be a free Family Fun day on Harleston's recreation ground where there will be vintage cars and tractors, a marching band, stalls, barbecue, an old-fashioned funfair and a visit from a hot air balloon.

Other free events taking place in the town include an African drumming workshop tomorrow, for children aged seven to 12.

Although free to attend, places must be pre-booked with Harleston Bookshop on 01379 855111.
