A musical soiree will be held at Wingfield Barns on Friday, July 10, hosted by Redgrave composer Peter Cresswell.
The concert will last an hour and followed by a buffet supper before the artists return to the barn for a informal session of golden oldies.

Included in the concert programme will be several items composed by Mr Cresswell, including two movements from his clarinet sonata played by Sara Whymark, as well as his Palm Court Waltz played by a trio, and his setting of John Clare’s poem The Peasant Poet.

Jennifer and Paul Hewes and Paul’s grand-daughter Joanne Hewes will be singing, while instrumentalists Nigel and Helen Morgan will play flute, piccolo and bass clarinet, and Max Sainsbury will play double bass.

Tickets are £15, including buffet supper, from 01379 384505.
