Lashings of rock, pop and soul have been added to the traditional ingredients for this year's pantomime at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich.
Cinderella, which took to the stage this week and runs until January 31, follows Baron Hardup, the Mayor of Ipswich, who is down on his uppers, preparing for a royal visit with a staff of only two – his feisty daughter Cinderella and the loyal Buttons.

When his lonely hearts ad is answered by the mysterious Rubella De Zees, who brings along her two daughters – Hernia and Verucca, it seems his troubles have only just begun.

Songs include Three Steps to Heaven, It's Raining Men, In the Midnight Hour, Downtown, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? and Try a Little Tenderness.

Directed by Peter Rowe, Cinderella runs until January 31 with performances at 7.30pm and matinees at 1.30 or 2.30pm.
To book tickets call the box office, 01473 295900.
