Redgrave-based classic rock band Walkway are hoping to make waves on the music scene after the recent release of their self-titled album.
The band; Chris Ready, 16, Jack Stevens, 14, Alex Rosedale 17, and James Ready, 15, have already played at 50 venues, including the Brickmakers in Norwich.

Since forming the band in 2006, they have caused a stir, playing in local pubs, and earlier this year, local businesswoman and musician Sharon Leslie spotted the band playing at the Trowel and Hammer Inn, Cotton.

She was impressed with their sound, and with her contacts in the music industry has since helped the band by funding their first album, recorded at the Purple Studios in Norwich.

Mrs Leslie said: "I've been in the music and pub industry a long time and I've never heard anything like it at such a young age.

"I'm hoping they will do very well – it's a hard game but they have got something a little bit special."

The band members all have their own individual influences, from Led Zeppelin and AC/DC hard rock to indie band The Subways.

Chris, who writes the lyrics with brother James, said: "I have always got a notepad with me. We write about how dad has helped us form the band, and the usual love and girls stuff."

Their album is available from their website.
