Singer wins music contest

A singer from Framlingham, has been named the Next Big Thing on the local music scene.
Thomas Mills High School pupil Ed Sheeran was crowned the winner of the annual East Anglian music contest organised by Norwich radio station Future Radio.

At the final, held at the UEA LCR in Norwich on Sunday night, Sheeran, 17, who was the only solo performer to make it into the final, beat bands Rigo Jancsi, I Am Error, Adele Swallow, Killamonjambo and The Moo, to land a recording contract with NR One Records.

Sheeran will be back on stage at the UEA on November 24, for the Star Attraction Show with Jay Sean. Tickets cost £10 in advance or on the door.
