Rising music stars The Kabeedies will launch their new single with a gig at Norwich Arts Centre next week.
The Norwich-based band, who include former Hartismere High School pupil, bassist Rory Hill, have recently seen their star rise rapidly.

The Kabeedies have recorded a Maida Vale session with BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens and last week performed on Marc Riley's BBC 6 Music radio show.

They are now ear-marked for live sessions with Radio 2 DJ Janice Long and Tom Robinson of BBC 6 Music and have landed a lucrative spot on the bill for July's Latitude music festival in Suffolk.

It will be yet another exciting showcase for The Kabeedies' talents with the band already having played support slot for The Futureheads.

Apart from 16-year-old Hill, the band also includes singer Katie Allard, 18, drummer Fab Bell, 18, and 17-year-old guitarist and vocalist Evan Jones.

The band launch their new single Lovers Ought To at Norwich Arts Centre next Thursday at 8pm.

Tickets are priced £5 or £6 on the door. Contact the box office, 01603 660352.
