Now singer Gruff Rhys has finished his trip back to the 1980s with his Neon Neon project, Welsh wonders Super Furry Animals return with their eighth album.
The band's last long-player, Hey Venus, saw the Super Furries lose their way, so it's a relief to hear them back firing on all cylinders with Dark Days' pot pourri of pop/rock sounds.

Launching with the heavy riffs of Crazy Naked Girls, the following 11 songs see the Super Furries tackle everything from the krautrocking Inaugural Trams, to psychedelic-pop confections – all topped with
smile-inducing titles including The Very Best Of Neil Diamond and White Socks/Flip Flops.
