While his fans continue their long wait for the oft-delayed Archives box set, the ever-prolific Young unleashes another new album.
Fork In The Road finds the Canadian legend go back to basics for a 35-minute paean to his his Linc-Volt hybrid car – a 1950s Lincoln Continental with new eco-friendly engine.

The result is driving music packed with chunky riffs and foot-to-the floor beats, which conjure up images of Young cruising the highways.

Those put off my his overly earnest recent releases will be pleased to discover Young is back at doing what he does best, although he does show his age in some of the lyrics by slating the sound on iPods.
