Four years after the chart-topping Some Cities, Doves fly back with their eagerly anticipated third album.
Kingdom of Rust has been 18 months in the making and, while it doesn't throw up any radical departures, it fine tunes the Mancunians' sound to perfection, as well as offering some knowing winks to the group's origins as dancefloor one hit wonders Sub Sub.

The glacial guitars remain on the chiming Spellbound and Winter Hill, while The Outsiders sees Doves crank up the volume for one of their rockiest – and best – songs to date.
