This latest offering from Dylan, has given him his first UK chart-topper since 1970's New Morning.
Neither that nor this is a patch on some of the albums released during the ensuing period such as Desire and Love And Theft.

That is not to say Together Through Life is disappointing – there's not a bad track on it.

This is a collection of mid-tempo blues shuffles, whose highlights include including My Wife's Home Town, Life Is Hard, Shake Shake Mama and the opening Beyond Here Lies Nothing.

Dylan fans will like it, but if you're just starting to discover Dylan, there are better albums to begin with.
